I bought a load of 12' pine tongue and groove at the Minot branch of Menards. Since it is in the store, you load it onto the carts and bring it outside to the parking lot. In order for me to pick the load off the trailer with forks I needed some blocking (to avoid having to handle all of it manually again), which is usually available in the yard by the saw. I left my wife standing by the carts, and took my pickup and trailer to the gate and asked to get in for a handful of blocks to stack the paneling on, but the gate attendant said he couldn't let me in without an invoice for yard materials. He understood the issue and sent me to customer service. They also understood that this was an issue but couldn't radio the gate. I was told to ask Leon, who was working up front and had a radio to approve it. Leon flat refused to let me in the yard, saying I needed to buy yard materials to get in there. Leon expected me to walk to the back of the store, buy something I didn't need from the yard, bring it to the front, pay for it, then go back to my vehicle to drive to the yard. I could have brought blocks from home but I didn't anticipate this being an issue, shame on me for even going to Men

This place is generally pretty good and fairly priced. Compared to Home Depot, the prices and selection seem way better. Plus they have a very catchy gingle they constantly play over the speakers thats fun to sing along with. If you've ever been to a menards you know exactly what im talking about. The only thing is I wouldn't recommend buying any plants or trees from here. I bout 2 pear trees, witch basically were dead with no hope or chance of growing, and I bought 2 well grown strawberry plants that seemed very promising, until I realized they were infected with spider mites.

I've never felt so lost in a store... After the search parties located us we were eventually able to find what we were looking for! So all good :o)

The location is much like a combination of many stores in one: Lowe's, Home Depot, and Sam's/Costco(with the bulk in supplies able to be bought). A mass mixture of furniture, build supplies, clothes, and yard equipment. The prices here as compared to the previously mentioned stores are kinda hand and hand, almost equivalent to what you'd find at those other locations; though yes, you could find some better pricing here, nothing beats the convenience of having everything here in one place as compared to scattered about at other store locations. You even have the convenience of having a rental service for heavy-duty equipment.
